the past couple of days and moved through southern california finally going to kick eastward as it moves out. high pressure is coming in, in time for the weekend so we'll see a gradual warming trend over the weekend and eventually next week maybe a little mini heat wave before we get back into talking about more rain in the bay area. temperatures outside right now under mostly cloudy skies into the 50s just about everywhere. 80s in the interior valleys today. we are struggling to get to the mid-60s in livermore. 66 in san jose. 62 in san francisco and about 60 degrees in pacifica with some partly cloudy skies there. as we look toward the next couple of days we are going to warm up saturday. sunday looks nice, 80s popping in the valleys. weak system drops in on monday that may bring clouds and hold the temperatures down but after that, we could very well see those offshore winds kicking in. if that happens, maybe temperatures back into the upper 80s, maybe low 90s as we head into thursday. 60s maybe near 70 degrees out toward the coastline. >> let's check the roads with elizabeth. >> fire

for failing to report its numbers. they say it has to be california. a spokesperson will not confirm or deny that. they will only say that the large state left out a pile of unprocessed claims related to seasonal factors. the spokesperson says that this large state has a history of reporting volatile numbers at the beginning of quarters. the department has complained to the state trying to work with it. they do say that the unprocessed claims in question will show up in the numbers in the next week or two. recognize the very difficult budget situation at school districts across california are facing. i'm a strong believer in public education and for our education system t. does need properly funded. given, that it's surprising the district is deliberately walking away from state money by not ed keg transitional kindergarten children. the number of children who were in the mix in january were 400. that number today dropped to 190. a very rough calculation said a district lost over a million in state funning. just a.d.a. doesn't take into account english language learner funds or extra funding that come when's you enroll 200 children. that number might increase any more. district is asking for funds from the city. i'm not about to say the city shouldn't do that because i think the district needs the funds. i did want to point ut back drop is the district has for some reason chosen not to educate children and chosen to walk away from money at the same time. it's shocking to me they would be standing here asking for money with this cavalier disregard for both educating children and funds they coul
